Glossary
- Governance: The structures and processes used to make decisions, assign responsibilities, and establish policies within an open project.
- Stakeholder: Anyone who has an interest in or is affected by a project, including users, contributors, funders, and partner institutions.
- Sustainability: The ability of a project to continue delivering value over time through active community participation, financial support, and adaptive infrastructure.
- Open Source Software (OSS): Software with source code that is freely available for use, modification, and distribution.
- Infrastructure: The technical tools and systems that support the development, maintenance, and use of an open project (e.g., repositories, forums, hosting services).
- Community of Practice: A group of people who share a concern or passion for something they do and learn how to do it better through regular interaction.
